We can help you in person, by phone, via E-mail, with instant Message, through Web form or our Web-based Research Guides, by appointment with your Personal Librarian, or with classes on Information Literacy and Library Research Skills.

The Reference Desk on the 1st Floor of Helm Library is the first place to start your research. Come and search for facts or statistics, for biographical information, for a book or a journal article on your topic.

The Periodicals Section on the 2nd Floor of Helm Library contains magazines and journals from 1986 to the present, along with newspapers and microfilm. Journals from 1985 and earlier are located in the basement of Helm Library.

Help is also available at the Educational Resources Center, the Special Collections Library, and on our regional campuses in Elizabethtown,  Glasgow, and Owensboro.

Research Guides

The Research Giudes contain resources to help you get started with your research. We have a guide for every department and major program on campus. The guides contain reference books in the field, databases for finding journal articles, Library of Congress Subject Headings for searching TOPCAT, and links to associations and websites suggested by the teaching faculty.
