1909: Warren A. Cole and two other law students founded chapter Alpha Zeta at Boston University

1912: Lambda Chi Alpha becomes a national fraternity

1917: 2500 Lambda Chis, 90 percent of our membership, perform military service in World War 1

1924: Delegates from 11 local fraternities formed Theta Kappa Nu

1927: Lambda Chi Alpha becomes an international fraternity with the installation of a chapter at the University of Toronto

1928: Hazing is condemned by Lambda Chi Alpha

1939: Lambda Chi Alpha and Theta Kappa Nu merge as Lambda Chi Alpha

1991: Lambda Chi Alpha initiates its 200,000th member

1993: Lambda Chi Alpha sponsors the inaugural North American Food Drive, the largest single-day fraternity philanthropic project, and raises more than 256,000 pounds of food for the hungry
