Mathematics graduate students reap and share awards as outstanding students of mathematics at the Ogden College of Science & Engineering 2007 Student Awards Ceremony.  This annual awards event transpired on Sunday, April 15 at the Carroll Knicely Conference Center located on Western's South Campus area.  Yale plans on lauching a career in the computer programming field; James hopes to work for the National Security Agency.

Bowling Green.
Nine students pursuing a major in mathematics were honored for their academic excellence in mathematics at the annual Ogden College Awards Ceremony which was held in the Knicely Center (at the South Campus) on April 15, 2007.  During that event, Dr. Bruce Kessler (the Assistant Dean of Ogden College)  recognized 59 award winning students from the nine academic departments of Ogden College.   At the ceremony, the award recipients, relatives of the honorees, family friends, and others recognized these talented students from those nine academic areas of science and engineering for their academic excellence.   The total attendance at this annual awards ceremony numbered more than 250.

Prior to the awards ceremony, the award winners were asked to select from among their professors the one who most inspired them.   Those "most inspiring professors" enjoyed the honor of presenting the awards to their students, and are pictured with their student award recipients.

The Department of Mathematics is very proud of these award recipients who have demonstrated superior and excellent academic performance in Mathematics; the Department is equally proud of those faculty who have distinguished themselves as "favorite and most inspiring" professors as declared by their award winning students.
